The idea here is to take sin and Satan from Earth. Why can't everyone who is on the Earth at that time just make the transition and be made perfect? Since there's no Satanic influence, regardless of whether the person is a witness or not, over time all that will come to be is what the witnesses teach about this new system. Can't we still "fill the Earth and subdue it"?

In all seriousness, your question is a good one. Why is it fair that a sinner that dies get a resurrection and second chance but a sinner that doesn't die (but rather killed by God at Armageddon) not get a second chace.
As Billy says, it is all about growing religious groups. You can grow members a lot quicker if you threaten eternal punishment to anyone not in the group than if you say everyone gets a second chance.

So that God can prove His point--anyone that doesn't do exactly what He tells them or that wants a taste of something else is going to die forever. That way, He can single you out for non-fulfillment of actual needs and expect you to carry out your mission successfully anyways under threat of dying.

With all the rhetoric the dubs have about God's "universal sovereignty" and "right to rule", the average "Joe six-pack" doesn't have two sides to compare. All our history is under "Satan's system". What is there to compare with? Is Jehovah going to take the reins and show the world how wonderful his rulership is? No, he plans on killing them.
So, the dubs all say, "Look at all the problems in this rebellious system. God's Kingdom will fix everything!"
Really? How do you know that? If you believe the dubs story of history, God once ruled everything and everyone was fabulously happy... well, not happy enough for them to reject the idea of rebellion. So now, 6000 years later, how is Joe Six-Pack supposed to realize that "God's Kingdom" would be better. If he looks in the Bible, Israel was God's chosen people... but were they blissfully happy under the authority of the "universal sovereign" Jehovah? Read the book, the ending is... God rejects and kills most all of them. I guess that's the success that the dubs can look forward to under Jehovah's universal "worship me and love me... or DIE" administration.
