    T. B. Bechtel, a City Councillor from Newcastle, Australia, was asked on a local live radio talk show, just what he thought about the allegations of torture of suspected terrorists.

His reply prompted his ejection from the studio, but to thunderous applause from the audience.

    HIS STATEMENT:
'If hooking up one raghead terrorist prisoner's testicles to a car battery to get the truth out of the lying little camelshagger will save just one Australian life, then I have only three things to say,'
    'Red is positive,
    Black is negative, and
Make sure his nuts are wet.'

Redneck asshole...using racial terms, what an idiot! What about the innocent who are tortured for nothing...is it any wonder these people are willing to blow themselves up to kill Americans? I would if I were in their shoes!

Sucks that it isn't true. Sometimes, we simply have to put the PC bullcrap aside and realize that these terrorists are backwards and have no respect for you, me or anybody else.

Hoping a terrorist doesn't attack you because you're a liberal is like hoping a hungry bear doesn't eat you because you're vegetarian. It ain't going to work.

Speaking of things that ain't going to work, experts in terrorist interrogation say torture doesn't work. People who are tortured will say anything to get the torturer to stop, including false information. This just causes wasted time as investigators track down false leads.

While I understand valuing the safety of innocent victims over perpetrators, the important thing is to be effective when lives are on the line. There are tried and true interrogation methods that get proven results. They do not involve torture. In fact, professional interrogators say it is more difficult to use these methods once torture has been introduced.

An additional down side to torture involves when terrorists are finally brought to trial. Cases can be thrown out and terrorists can walk free if a case is contaminated by torture. That helps no one.

And if that isn't enough reason to condemn using torture as an interrogation method, it puts US troops in danger of the same treatment in retaliation if and when they are captured.

There is no substitute for good, professional interrogators doing their job right. There is too much on the line to screw it up using illegal, unethical and ineffective methods.
