I called United Airlines to see if we could change a return flight I previously booked for this summer. They want $430 to move our departure to the next day! That's more than I paid for each multi-city ticket covering 5 different cities! Anyone have any experience getting through the airline customer service maze to find someone who could resolve an issue like this?
It's a nonrefundable ticket so they want $150 per person to change anything, plus they're adding what they say is the price differential on the ticket. Seems insane to me. I did a search online and to book another one-way the day after my scheduled return and just "miss" the original flight would cost about $100 less than what they want to make a simple change.
Anyone been down this road?
