At what moments have your kids done something and you thought, "Okay, this is definitely my child"? Or what have you caught yourself doing that made you think, "Damn. I'm becoming my parents"?
It's genetic and can't be helped

Well when my daughter about 9 months old. When she would wake up in the morning she would be grumpy if you talked to her or made eye contact during the first 15 minutes she was awake. She grunt cry and get whiney. If you didn't try to talk to her or make eye contact during the first 15 minutes she would be fine and the rest of the day would be good.
Then I knew she was my child and not switched at the hospital

LoL! It happens all the time. But what gets really funny is when your adult children act like you & the grandkids act like their parents. The fun never stops.

When I call my children once a day to make sure they are ok, and then they call me and worry that I haven't answered my phone, I know we have all turned in to my mother

I remember with my oldest, the first time I shook my finger at her and scolded her.
Another part of me was watching the event and saying "Hey, your on the wrong side of that finger!"

Everytime my children speak I am reminded how much they are mine!
They use similar words to express their minds, and oh do they ever express their minds!
LOL I have a bred more 'independent thinkers'
But I am far more a believer in nuture over nature.
I don't really act like my parents regarding parenting skills. My parents set standards and I lived in their world, they didn't live in mine. I am far more hands-on and consider the individual child's needs and POV.
My parents view children as a liability (yeah that whole woe syndrome still, even though they had me right before 1975!) where as I think all children are our strongest assets as long as we raise them to have a good work ethic, be moral, responsible, educated and kind.
