Not sure why, but the wife's congo has the 'true religion' talk this weekend, not last. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated, don't want to be unprepared on Sunday afternoon...if she goes.
Special talk, any thoughts, my wife's congo has it this weekend, not last

If a circuit assembly or special day assembly was scheduled on that Sunday.
*** km 10/07 p. 7 Announcements ***The special public talk for the 2008 Memorial season will be given during the week of March 31, 2008. The subject of the talk will be announced later. Those congregations having the visit of the circuit overseer or an assembly that weekend will have the special talk the following week. No congregation should have the special talk before March 31.

Whatever:
how they used to kill thousands in Arena's etc...
yeah, and the Israelites used genocide to kill hundreds of thousands who merely differed in religious belief from themselves. Also they'd kill their own people for the heinous sins of talking back to their parents and having sex while on the rag.
So glad we have the "pure worship" of Jehooby to cleanse ourselves...

Open mind
The actual delivery of the talk was not nearly as obnoxious as the title.
There were several visitors at our KH and I was hoping for a "We're right and everyone else is wrong" sound bite, but it never came.
Good PR by the speaker.
Too bad.

East 6th St in Sioux Falls is having the special talk tomorrow, May 3. I have an invitation. The invitation was delivered to the door of a dead guy who was a local Witness for like . . . 55 years. I was impressed that the Witnesses are even inviting dead people. I'd say that's pretty thorough.
I attended a talk one time where I'm pretty sure the guy giving the talk was actually dead. If he was alive he sure as heck did a hell of a job fooling me.
