Flu panic in your area?

I have scanned several newspapers from different states. It seems some have declared a state of emergency.

Many say hospitals are overflowing with people coming in for runny noses (who do not have flu, but are in a panic about it or are trying to get heavy antibiotic prescriptions).

    Some states have schools closing.

Just wondering.... are any of you seeing any flu panic in your area?

They have been shutting schools around Tulare and Merced counties. BUUUUUT everyone went to the Cinco de Mayo fests all over, so go figure. Oh ya, the vendors at the fests had hand sanitizer out in plain sight for folks to use.

When "Bird Flu" was the subject we were being told that up to 150 million people worldwide would die from it. How many died? 200.

As one doctor said here in UK in a newspaper article "Hundreds of people died every year from flu. Mainly the old or the very young. But no one goes on about them being a "pandemic."

This is latest from BBC website 3rd May 09 at 10:25am

Mexico: 101 suspected deaths - 19 confirmed US: One death, 160 confirmed cases New Zealand: 4 confirmed cases Canada: 85 confirmed cases Spain: 20 confirmed cases UK: 15 confirmed cases Germany: 6 confirmed cases Israel: 3 confirmed cases France: 2 confirmed cases Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Hong Kong, South Korea, Italy, Irish Republic, Costa Rica: 1 confirmed case

True story - My daughter-in-law works at the local hospital. Last Friday a women came in for a routine diagnostic test and while she was signing, she sneezed and coughed. One of the employees pulled a mask out of a box on her desk and handed it to her.

    "What's this for?" she asked.

"You have to wear it, it's hospital regulations, because of the swine flu epidemic."

I WILL NOT wear it," she yelled. "I'll go to another facility before I wear that mask."

"Madam, you have to wear that mask!"

Irately, the woman pointed at the box of masks, "It says right there on that box that those masks came from Mexico!"

Jag....I am not trying to make more juice!

I am trying to make people see that this is absurd!!!!

Look at the discrepencies. Headlines that blare thousands of cases of 'suspected flu' and in fine print it says "2 confirmed".

I think it's all a diversion to keep people from uprising because the economy is shot. That's what happened in other countries. Maybe The PTB are trying to head off a people eruption before it happens.

I know that what I am reading in the local newspaper is blatant lies. There are no lines at the ER. And some reports even say hospitals are so overcrowded that ambulances are being turned away. Media is lying! And people have been so conditioned to let the media do their reasoning for them. Media is privately owned by these special interest groups trying to bring about this agenda.

Oh, and PS...those hospitals reported as back up with people...are finally updated as a lot of people with just a runny nose that are frightened. No real suspected cases of serious flu. I think this is hype and I think we should look toward the motive for all this.

30,000 people in the US die every year from the Flu.

As I have said in a previous thread, when the death toll hits 1,000,000, I will think about, bring concerned about, this Pandemic tm .
