We are "not of their sort"

  I suppose there exist endless accounts of events that have resulted in many of us venting on this board. , However, I believe we can narrow the reasons down to a common denominator .... we are not of their sort ...

  Being a JW does not work for most. Damages occur when those in the environment, inside and out of the family, use a "one size must fit all" concept of spirituality. Those of us who do not conform with the wishes of others and believe as they do, sooner or later, will have little choice but to agree with that Italian defense lawyer Johnny Cockeroni:

  "if it doesn't a-fit, you must a-quit"

  The one that thinks is "not of our sort". Especially when it is obvious that the cost of remaining in is going to exceed the benefit, or that the benefit will be zero or negative in staying in. What Jehovah wants is a bunch of idiots that can't even think of the cost of a course of action, and will do as they are told even when the cost is great and the benefit tiny, none, or negative.

  It is wonderful if you are a meeting junkie, love to go around to people's doors to tell them about your addiction, and want to abdicate your thinking to someone else and not be bothered by doing your own research. If these qualities do not fit you, it might be a problem.
