Just on first glance, it seems kind of antithetical to the JW mindset, doesn't it? They are the 14th official religion of Austria, which basically means they are legal or accepted(though I didn't know of any issues there previously).

Unfortunately, this official recognition also means that the Federal Office for Cult Questions is not allowed anymore to counsel ex-JW's, who until now have constituted their largest client group. For those who understand German: http://www.kurier.at/nachrichten/316903.php
