    Taken from his experience in the 1984 Watchtower.

    1934 Karl Klien {Governing body} had a nervous breakdown after being at Bethel many years. Baptized at 12 he didn't go door to door till he was 18 and serving as an Elder! AT Bethel he VERY honestly mentions the pressures that led to his breakdown. "Rutherford...even though he REPEATEDLY had reason to reprove me for breaking some rule. I remember one time when he gave me a BLUNT REPROOF. The next time he saw me he said "Hello Karl" But because of still being hurt I just muttered a greeting. He said Karl watch out! The devil is after you. Embarrased I replied "Oh, there's nothing wrong Brother Rutherford...he repeated his warning "Thats alright, just watch out, the devil is after you!" 1950 Brother Knorr invited me to join the Writing Department..when I said it didn't matter where I served he REPROVED ME saying when an added privledge is extended we eagerly accept it...my atitude was due to my bad health {mentally} which has always been a problem...Knorr was afew months older then I was...we were like brothers, with the older brother {Knorr} being prone to express impatients towards the younger brothers shortcomings....in 1974 I was invited to join the Governing body...I needed ENCOURAGEMENT to accept it....{he mentions how Fred Franz pushed him into it.....Pressure, pressure, pressure...on a poor man who was mentally not well}

    Interesting though sad.

    I remember hearing Ernest Zenome who also was at Bethel
    His story was something similiar .But thank GOD Ernie is out but doing well.

    Yes mouthy I'm sure many people have collapsed mentally or physically due to Watchtower pressure to accept ALL assignments.

    So, a man who was mentally sick was writing the spiritual food we were taking in, huh? That makes perfect sense, now.

    Boy that Rutherford was a sick bastard that kept pulling on his chain.->. "Karl watch out the Devil is after you" is a pretty sick thing to say to a mentally sick person. It shows the hieght of cruelity the 2nd President of the WT had reached in manipulating people under his dominion. No doubt about both guys were sick but Rutherford takes the cake.

    This is what happens to people that try hard to live and breath off of an illusion, side stepping away from reality.

    I'm not surprised that he mentions Rutherford for he has to be the most solitary power driven egomaniac in the JWS

    history that would easily run over people that he deemed weak to his own self developed indulgent stature.

    Rutherford was all about obtaining power over and above everyone else elevating himself to a demi-god status.

    He saw himself much more than a judge of the land and people which he resided, after all he had obtained the greater power of god in his hands.
