There are still many unexplained things.

Although we as humans have come to a better understanding of many things there are still enough problems to keep many minds occupied.
We think we have a good idea of how this universe is structured how it grew and got complex , with even explanations of how life forms arose.
But there are still things that puzzle me.
    What is consciousness?
There is no proper understanding of consciousness and how it works.
How can a combination of atoms in a certain configuration give rise to a tangible feeling of existence?
    What is time?
How do events progress , is time infinitely divisible, if not do events “jump” rather than “flow”?
    What is the smallest particle?
    How does gravity work ?
How does the quantum world become “real” ?
Why does anything exist to begin with?
Do other things exist outside of or knowledge , forever unknowable?

What other unexplained things are there?

For me, I'm always stuck with trying to explain why I'm most physically attracted to beautiful women who live in far away places! It just isn't right and I think this must be a test by someone but can't figure that one out either.

Seriously, I liked your post. I have lots of speculation about many of the things you said but proving speculative ideas requires a lot of work. I would rather chase those babes at times

    Hi Sleepy,

Your question,"What is consciousness?" has puzzled me for some time now. Also the question of what determines a persons character in this consciousness. If a chemical imbalance occures we can become violent and if someone whacks us on the head we lose consciousness, so it seems it's just a physical result of our brain working with the electro/chemical reactions of nature. Animals also have a state of consciousness, but how much they understand is unknown, and depends somewhat on the size of their brain. Questions but no real provable answers.

Some of your questions (e. g. what is "time", or: how does signal-processing in the brain work etc.) has became elaborated and described in my scientific work "Method to Generate Self-Organizing Processes in Autonomous Mechanisms and Organisms". (US-Pat.US 6172941)

Note: I am not ready to discuss about details of the matters in this forum. Rather via e-mail. Send your questions to: [email protected]

Here are some books I can recommend to you on these subjects.
    Phantoms in the Brain. V.S.Ramachandran
Kinds of mind. Daniel c Dennetts
Descartes error. (Carnt find it sorry)
The end of time. Julian Barbour

The "end of time" of Julian Barbour is am antagonist-theory to that one of mine. He tries to deny the existence of time generally.
