How many people did you bring "into the Truth?" Have you tried to tell them the REAL TRUTH since?

I Pioneered and was a missionary for 20 years.

    I brought 1 person in.

He is still a Witness I hear, I haven't been able to find him though.

    And you?

As a result of my going into the witnesses, 3 other people became JW's too because of my preaching to them and bible studies with my then husband's sister. One was my mother whom I believe would have left easily but she passed away prior to my leaving. Then one was my sister's son when he was in high school. So the two people still in are my nephew and my ex-sister-in-law and both are rabidly involved in the witnesses still 30 years later. My ex-husband's sister never had children because of her JW path and pioneering, in fact she didn't marry until she was 42. Her brother (my-ex) is still very into the religion he learned about it when I did and brought me into it. I did try to talk a little to them but they were terrified of any hint that the Society was wrong they were being fooled. I did it gently but it was just too overwhelmng and I was later disfellowshipped so that cut off all contact.

What I would suggest is if you hear the person is no longer involved then talk to them but don't be too direct. If you hear they still in avoid them, trying to talk to them is risky especially if your trying to avoid being labeled apostate.

Zero, thank God! I'd been df'd for many years before I understood the truth about the "truth", so, no, I've never been able to tell any jws.

I was so lazy in returning to calls that I usually placed the littera-trash (usually a Washtowel and an Asleep) and then abandoned the call. Sometimes I would make a token effort to return, but never go beyond placing another washtowel and another Asleep. Almost never did I place anything else--and the one time I started a study out of the Suffer Forever book, it fell apart within two studies. All that time for nothing.

On the other hand, I did succeed in sabotaging one study. This person was just starting to attend boasting sessions, when I suggested going to Six Screens of the Watchtower before doing anything else with the religion. That was the end of that call.

Just assume that whatever the society says is wrong, and chances are you'll be correct.

In 58 years of association, I never brought anyone in,in the sense of calling on their door and studying with them and so on,mainly because my "ministry" was very similar to the venerable Wizard's.

I did though study with a guy who had been brought up a Dub,and wanted to come back.I straightened him out,he took drugs, gambled had casual sex etc. he is now a long serving Reg. Pio and is married to a lovely sister,he is still a bit of an A**hole in many ways.No way would he listen to me now. Same with a guy whose parents despaired of,and got me to study with him, still in and MS etc.

I did too good a job on these guys.

My sister has been in full time service for over 40 years and was bemoaning the fact that she hadn't brought anyone in from 1st Call stage, this was about 5 years ago, I think she has achieved it now, mores the pity, but it illustrates the ineffectiveness of all that door knocking.

I was born in, but never baptised.

As far as I know, I never influenced any non-family member to sign up.

I brought my Anglican wife in.

    + Two kids.

One kid is not doing much damage but the other is doing a huge amount of damage in countries that really don't need it.

I feel responsible for children being brought up in an environment where their entire community is JW. If those kids ever 'wake up' they will be shunned by their entire village.

I am very unhappy about that.

My family knows I am unhappy about that.

I have asked them many questions that are still unanswered.
