My husband and I had a "planned" getaway for Memorial Day weekend. He told me to choose the place, I chose Maine....needless to say he was thrilled, Portland so happened to be hosting the district convention that weekend....he did attend some of it, not me...I went shopping..they released a new book...for those of you who are interested...over 5000 in attendance. Scary well dressed white people with crazy kids...thats about it...enjoy!!

I always hated that.

I didnt mind him attending it gave me some time to myself, however he could have dropped the book reading when getting back!

I would have spent the extra time to head to Palace Playland before going to the Grand Boasting Session. Palace Playland is in Old Orchard Beach, which is not that far from Portland.
At least anyone else going to Maine is going to be spared having to go to the Grand Boasting Session--that was it.

I lived in Maine for three years it's wonderful this time of year! Old Orchard is a blast. Great choice for vacation!
