    yup.

I agree with a lot of it. It's depressing.

    from the article:

"All of these men could have been stopped if citizens, coworkers, auditors, Prime Ministers, government regulators, Boards of Directors, Congressmen, or family members had been brave enough and moral enough to make a stand against their evil deeds."

Shall I tell you why this statement is ideology and not truthful? Because all of these people are themselves making money on evil. They will not forfeit their gravy train for the sake of righteousness.

Government protects religions because religious councils have bought politicians through lobbyists, thereby getting laws passed to protect and exempt themselves.

Here are some examples of why the evil continues and how many people, high and low, are lining their pockets from the proceeds of greed and lies.

    Quote:

Mailings from Saint Matthew's Churches often contain items, some pictured here, such as ''miracle cakes,'' coins, prayer cloths and fake currency. An attorney for the organization said they are faith items that help believers focus their prayers.

...."They would send you a little piece of cloth and it was supposed to be doing things for you...."

"Whisper the name of Jesus three times as you write your name on the back of your Faith Check."

    .........

and from Wiki, it appears that this is still on-going as the page was last modified on Feb 2009 and makes this statement:

While the ministry does hold tax exemption status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code , it has been the subject of numerous complaints to the Better Business Bureau , whose evaluation conclusion was that the organization did not meet two standards for Charity Accountability. So you see, this evil is still being perpetuated throughout many "religions". And no one will stop it because they are all getting a piece of the pie. Lots of green handshakes going around.

In Connecticut, all organizations seeking charitable donations from the public must register with the state Department of Consumer Protection, and file annual reports on its activities. Religious organizations are exempt from the requirements, however.
