What about Misqetoes and Vampire Bats leeches, sucking blood from other animals? I remember a Watchtower saying how a Lion could use his claws to "rip open husks" ........like when eating a Pineapple! Do you have any examples, thoughts?

To extend the poetic language of Isaiah into the idea of a paradise, WTS felt it was necessary to extend that to all animals, but then they did some other article somewhere where they said it might not be the permanent position of the wolf to lie with the lamb or the lion to eat straw like the bull. Sometimes, they cover both sides of a doctrine to give everybody what they feel they want to believe.
Crocs and gators are eating machines. They are sharks of the shallow water. They just wouldn't be what they are if they were to be eating seaweed or grass. Big cats are big hunters. It's just as much a crock of bull as it is to expect that Noah's ark could actually be pulled off smoothly.

Do some jw's believe that in the Garden of Eden all the animals were in fact not carniverous but when Eve ate of the fruit God somehow changed all the animals at the same time He kicked Adam & Eve out? I dunno, that's what my jw told me years ago but he was a new convert and could have been mixed up. I found it incredible that anybody could believe such a thing, you mean God changed the jaws/teeth and digestive systems of only certain animals? how did he choose who would now be carniverous? How about those bats who feed on cows blood? blood???!!! and why would God do that to the animals because of Eve's actions?

Carla, yes. Some JW's firmly believe that the animals were completely different in Eden up until the flood.
They claim that God changed them when He said that people were now allowed to eat meat (after the flood).It makes no sense when dissected. That never stopped WTS and the members before.

You know, I think there's a reason why the org likes to refer to itself as the "ark of salvation." Note how all the predator and prey "kinds" obediently march on to the ark, not worried about their safety. I think there's a larger lesson to be learned here: all the animals seem to be under some sort of mind control to get onto that ark. The natural roles are supressed for the greater order.
Now think of the congregations...you can't be a freethinker, abiding by your own rules. You've just got to follow everyone else up the ramp.
