Does God Hear Your Prayers?

Many of us have axed ourselves, "does God hear my prayers?" The simple answer is... no, he does not. Why? He's too far away! Jehovah God is approximately 440 light years away from Earth. Why can't he hear your prayer? Because He's too far out of range! Have you ever wished to use a cell phone but were in an area with no reception? That is what it is like for Jehovah, except he does not worry about missing calls and whatnot.

As many of you may know, Jah lives in the Pleiades star cluster (Subaru), as depicted in the figure below (see below). It is a very far distance for prayer to travel, even if you pray very, very hard such as the man in the picture.

Technically speaking, God lives on top of the sky dome, or at least his throne is there. The stars that you speak of are fixed on this dome, as are the sun, moon, and planets. See Genesis chapter 1. In a later chapter of Genesis, men actually tried to reach God by building a tower. God didn't like that.

He doesn't give a fxxx. More likely, He will just sit there like a dope watching you suffer--and then, if you solve the problem on your own or Satan gives you a break, that Almighty Lowlife Scumbag is as likely as not to foul it up on you.

    Hi,

You gotta love "brother witness", he looks more holy than God Almighty! Must be a JW thing ;)

Of course, you have missed the point, God is omnipresent i.e. He is everywhere all at once.

Also, He is omniscient, knows everything, even before you pray it.

How does He manage that? He is omnipotent, all powerful, hence His name, Mighty God.

Me, I love praying, the Holy Spirit is always close so I don't have to shout.

    Luke 17:20-21 (New International Version)
The Coming of the Kingdom of God

20 Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, 21 nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you."

    John 14:15-18 (New International Version)
    Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

15 "If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

    All the best,

    Stephen

Of course, you miss the point, that this is meant to be a humorous, tongue-in-cheek post. Was it not obvious enough for you? The "maximum broadcasting distance for prayers" didn't tip you off? Or the fact that God is supposed to reside in the Pleiades star cluster? Or the bit about God not worrying about missing calls? or my personal favorite right there in the first few words, with "many of us have AXED ourselves..." Wow.

I once created a neural network in software for an artificial intellegence project I was working on. In my research, as the network grew larger and larger - it occurred to me - even if I could monitor which neurons were firing and in what order, past around 20 neurons with 10 connections each, it quickly became very difficult to tell exactly how the machine worked (I used an evolutionary process to 'program' the neural connections and weights). The human brain has 10-100 billion neurons, and each neuron connects to 6,000-10,000 other neurons.

Naturally, every brain is a bit different, because we are an organic creature. We do not all have the same number of neurons in our heads, and they do not all connect the same way to every other neuron.

This all makes the 'say a prayer in your head' idea a bit of a joke. Chemicals and electronic pulses are firing off in your head in a way that only you know what they mean. I dare say, there will never be a day when someone can take apart a brain and say "That neuron there - that's the neuron that means 'chair' - because the brain simply doesn't work that way. It is the complex association of neurons that work together to form an idea, and to suggest there is a magical creature in the sky that is monitoring the chemical and electrical state of the billions of neurons in your head, along with the trillions of connections.. for you and 7 billion other people - is an absolutely rediculous concept.

But hey, it's fantasy right? Maybe there is an invisible.. secondary brain attached to your first, that interprets your neural patterns and using a high-speed spiritnet connection transmits your thoughts to God's inbox.
