In the early days, the appearance of the other sheeples (great multitude/crowd) was a real problem because the total number of anointed & sheeples were exceeding 144,000 so Rutherford invented the idea of the great crowd which would make it possible to exceed the 144,000 limit. Nowadays, the exact same dilema is happening agian. The sheeples are being kicked to the curb after so many years of being called the "generation". The anointed are suddenly increasing because the Watchtower Society does not give 2 shakes about the sheeples anymore - go ask any JW and they will tell you that the bible was written for the anointed - go figure. Eventually the number of anointed will approach the 144,000 limit which is impossible unless the Society makes the 144,000 a symbolic number. That way they can have their cake and eat it to.
Will the "sheeples" be assimilated into the anointed Borg?

Doubt it, unless they get "new light" revealing that Jesus did die for all JW's and not just 144,000. It doesn't seem necessary to make that change, since all the "sheeple" and the "anointed" follow the GB's direction either way.
Heaven forbid they would start listening to the real Master, Jesus Christ. At that point, they would cease being a Jehovah's Witness and become a Christian.

Seriously you can still have a literal 144,000 and mediation for all ......
This would be wise not only to mask the numbers claiming anointing but also enhance the WTS to certain potential converts.
It would also give the average JW a nice yearly ritual and up the attendance numbers.... which of course they will brag about for several months.
The noo light would be herald as proof of the truth getting brighter!.......
I think I will start thinking of the Brother Franz' D.D.s no longer as 'dumb dogs' but rather his legacy of 'dumb dubs'.

If they keep getting whopping 9 or 10% increases in memorial partakers over the next few years then I think they will be forced to reveal "new light". The "new light" will be that the 144k could be a symbolic number, which is the best interpretation anyway. Its the easiest solution. They won't say that the "great crowd" are in the new covenant and can partake of the emblems as that is far too radical, even though it is entirely scriptural.

All it will take is for them to crack down on counting people that shouldn't be partaking (and are doing so anyways). Or, they will make up a fake number of "anointed", something like 500 partakers, and claim that this is a sign that they are all dying off and that the end has to be very close. It's all a fake--just as their 7.1 million total witlesses is fake, so are the numbers of "anointed".

Logic dictates that the 144k woukd have been passed long ago, including the First Century Christians . There have been numerous threads demonstating this.
