The "Ghost Hunter" type shows would have you believe their instruments prove ghosts. Fluctuation in the EM field... GHOST! Temperature drop in this part of the room.... GHOST! Some random noise recorded on audio tape that slightly resembles a muffled voice... GHOST!
Personally I think it'd be cool if there were an afterlife... but I'll remain a non-believer until hard, objective evidence presents itself.

There's personal expiriences out there that discuss it, which while not scientific could be considered as evidence. There's also the law of conservation of energy and the first law of thermodynamics which could be construed towards the energy of our thoughts, due to these laws it could be postulated that the energy of your thoughts must survive death.
Measurable scientific evidence however, I don't believe there is any.
