When you were one of Jehovah's Witnesses, did you care about TRUTH?

  I must have been very preoccupied with truth because it has taken me ages to sort out where I currently stand. Conformity wasn't as big an issue for me - it probably isn't for women

  Yes, i did. I thought that what they taught me was truth. 'Course, when i found out that it wasn't, i was gone, like a shot. I still care about truth, although i'm not very concerned if others know the truth about things. People believe what they want to believe.

  Interesting question.

  I was interested in truth and conformity, but when things didn't sound quite right, I would 'wait on jehovah' to sort it out. Remember, lack of faith is always your fault. (insert truth with faith where applicable) Could you research outside the box? No. You have to use official (crap) publications to do so.

  Frankly, I wanted to believe it very badly, having such low self-esteem and vulnerable at the time. It turned into more of a conformity issue at the time, with truth on the backburner. When my self-esteem improved, and I got my shit together in my personal life, the real truth was completely apperant. From there, conformity was no longer an issue and I was done.
