So about 2 hours ago a fire truck went screaming down the street and stopped 3 doors down. It's a cul de sac, only 6 houses each side. I saw a paramedic guy go in with a bag. A cop just visited us and said "the gentleman down the street passed away, have you seen anything unusual lately. Did you know him" etc. etc. Theory on the street is that it was suicide. The cops wouldn't say anything though. Seems like we would have a right to know if something was up. Weird.

Neighbor just said it was suicide, he had lost his job 3 months ago.

Hummm indeed! How will burn twist this into being Obamas fault?

If John McCain had won the election, surely the guy wouldn't have lost his job. Thus, Obama's fault.

beks, I have asked the cops what was up, they would not tell me anything, long story, but anyway, they would not tell you for some reason.

Beks: " have you seen anything unusual lately. Did you know him" etc. etc."

What qualifies as "unusual"? Do they means strangers hanging out on your block? Wild kids that disregard the speed bumps? What means "unusual" that they are looking for?

Is it normal for cops or forensics people to interrogate neighbors whenever there is a death in the neighborhood?

If "street word" is suicide...then why are cops looking for unusual activity in some capacity?
