It says Joseph Franklin Rutherford of the Watchtower Society died of CANCER of the RECTUM. Hmmm, what usually causes such cancer in such a place, the rectum being the outer part of the anal canal? He was the Watchtower Society's President after Russell and spent months if not years away from his wife and their only son, mostly in the company of male friends in the Watchtower Society's Bethel headquarters in Brooklyn, New York. The precise causes for their alienation have never been disclosed but maybe this is a clue? The rectal cancer was the main cause though he also had cancer in the pelvis. It must have been painful at times. Farkel, you should send a copy of this to Randy and Kent ( [email protected], [email protected]) maybe headed Proof Rutherford Died Of Rectal Cancer! Things aren't always what they seem in the Watchtower inner circles. I wonder if Dan Sydlik and Carey Barber for example would care to comment. Or maybe Dan Sydlik's wife and the guy who worked at the writing desk?? How about Milton Henschel's other knights?

OH no.... Please don’t be saying what I think you are saying. Tell me you are not hinting that the Judge who has shafted so many, has himself been shafted, albeit willingly and perhaps repeatedly. Say it ain’t so, say it ain’t so. ;-)

Actually it was Randy himself who sent me the book which contained a photo-copy of JFR's death certificate! The book was "Jehovah's Witnesses - Their Monuments to False Prophecy." I highly reccomend it for all you JFR buffs.

I'm not aware of any children in his liaisons, but there is some good circumstantial evidence he had a mistress.

It seems from the death certificate that the cancer was diagnosed in November 41, just 2 months prior to JFR's death.

The way cancer is classified is this:
The initial area of cancer is called the "primary lesion".
The term "metastasis" refers to cancer cells from the primary lesion which migrate via the circulatory system and attach elsewhere. In the case of JFR, the record states that the pelvic lesions were metastatic in nature, in other words, they were rectal cancer cells that migrated and started growing in the pelvis.

Uraemia refers to the accumulation in the blood of constituents normally eliminated in the urine that produces a severe toxic condition, in other words, his kidneys failed.

It might have been interesting had he lived to see the science of dialysis, or even of organ transplantation. I imagine he'd be the first to applaud both scientific developments, particularly if it meant that he could derive benefit from them, rather than condemning them, and with their being condemned, countless followers were also doomed to premature deaths.
