DRAG ME TO HELL - a cult classic to be?

I saw it tonite, and was scared out of my wits, giggling and enjoying spotting the HORRENDOUS number of continuity gaffes (I am convinced they are deliberate!)

The cat fight with the Gypsy is a classic - she is trying to put a curse on the Girl. During the fight her false teeth fall out, and she attacks her throat with her GUMS!! Slip and slide folks. Audience in stitches.

Girl has just spent night being terrorised by demon, after which she sacrifices her kitten to Satan to save herself. Next morning boyfriend arrives to find her in kitchen eating a two pint tub of chocolate ice cream.

The continuity errors have to have been deliberate too, part of the fun.

Some of the scenes were quite scary. Not for kids. i think it took inspiration from the 1957 film "Night of the Demon" with Dana Andrews and Peggy Cummin. They have several themes in common albeit adapted for the new audience.

I loved it! Corny as hell, made me laugh jump and roll my eyes. No thinking required. Perfect for a weeknight.

Will it attain the status of Carrie?

I loved it, too. Sam Raimi is back! It seemed like he was having a lot of fun coming up with disgusting things to shove down the leading lady's throat - LOL.

I loved it too. We didn't stop laughing all the way through the movie. It did make me jump, which made my daughters laugh even harder.

Mrs Ganoush was totally and hilariously disgusting.

I didn't really care for the "protagonist" from the beginning...which I guess was kind of the point...but when she killed her cat that was it! All empathy gone...couldn't wait for the gypsy to get her. har! I thought it was really fun but not as scary as I'd expected from the previews. I'd definitely recommend it. I love horror films...and cats!
