There was also Billy Powell and Eon Evans from Lynyrd Skynyrd both died earlier this year.

Ooh, and James Whitmore who played Brooks Hatlen (the old guy with the bird) in the Shawshank Redemption. At least he was old I guess.

as the years go on, more and more will be considered "celebrities".
how many celebrities were there in 1930?
compare that with 1950...
and then 1980...
its nothing strange.

Maybe it's because for some of us, we like older celebs because we grew up with them, even watching classic movies and TV as reruns we also become familiar with them.
I guess we care about the old ways because today's movies and television, even with new celebs, it just doesn't feel like what things used to be what we really called movies and television of our heyday.
