My JW friend just called me to say she "can't believe it". It seems at the meeting last night, they were told that there will be no more subscriptions to the WT and Awake.
I had told her this a couple of weeks ago, and she was skeptical that I was right. Now, she said all she has to do is call me to see what will happen next. She was laughing, and this board has a lot more credibility now. She told me to tell everyone to "keep it coming".

Is this your friend that secretly celebrates Christmas? If so, maybe she will see the BS behind the org and come out...who knows. Maybe one of these days she'll get the courage to post. I'd love to talk to her myself!

HI Andi, yes, she is the one. Her husband is an elder, and her eldest son too, so she isn't likely to leave unless at least her husband does too. She is very codependent with him, and afraid of displeasing him.
It's fun to talk to her though. She knows a lot of what we know, and is very unhappy being there.

We had a friend visiting this weekend that we shared this bit of info with. His son called on Suday to say it was announced at the KH. All he could do was shake his head and say "why did it take 2 weeks after we knew the info for the congregation to know"!!!

LOL that is funny. Well to bad you didn't tell her you were psychic, then you could have made a bit of money off her Perhaps she will come here, and learn more herself. There are so many like her that have adopted the lifestyle, for the sake of family. But it appears they are happy with living that life, so as long as she has an outlet with you I think that is great.
