If he didn't want his kids brought up as JWs his will wouldn't have left them in the hands of a believing member of the cult.
He would know as well as you and I do, that no believing JW would not try to bring them up as JWs, even if they promised otherwise.

It was written and submitted before the will came out, but I still don't think it was because his mom would raise them as JWs, I think she was probably the 'safest' person he knew. He has a severely disfunctional family all the way round. His mom is sep. from his dad (by a whole state), and she is nearly 80. He could have left custody to Rebbie who is a more appropriate age. I don't know what he was thinking or IF he was thinking really. The man was drugged up to his gills. Who the heck knows?
Yes, I am tired of MJ too, but he is a topic of conversation and I kept getting this question from people who know my background. This is my answer.

I spent 35 years out of the 'truth'. That didn't mean I wasn't a believer or that I didn't want my kids brought up in the religion.
The truth is that none of us have any idea of what was going on in Michael's head.
He may have been just as much an insane victim of the WT as I was when I let my wife take our kids to the Hall and get baptised.
You don't have to have an answer.
I often have to stand up for my right to not have an opinion.
