I think Sascha Ben Cohen is soo talented.
There were a couple of spots where the audience was giggling nervously ("should we be laughing at this?")
And some of the visual gag were totally outrageous. But the ultimate message of the film was how prejudice and religion are now destroying the human race.
As for the crucified baby...

Haven't seen it yet. Hubby is dying to see it. The naming the black baby OJ and revealing it to a black talk show audience cracks me up.
I went to see it but left at the point when the baby was introduced. I couldn't stomach the cradle rocking device juxtaposed with the baby in the cradle (but can see the funny side ofit now I think). This was the 18 certificate version though.

I thought a lot of the movie failed. Mostly because the moviemakers seemed to want to advance their plot and stay on budget more than they were willing to keep looking for really good (and funny) examples of homophobia and general American lack of progressiveness.
For instance, I was very interested in the black talk show audience because I knew it was filmed just a few miles away from me. I thought that failed totally - the producers wanted to show the homophobia endemic in a black christian community, and instead, the people were fairly restrained considering what Bruno was throwing at them.
The Alabama redneck hunters: also very restrained (some of that was very funny, but not because the dudes were horrible example of American redneck-ism; they were actually pretty cool about the whole thing).
The stage parents were truly frightening though.
The movie was the sh*t i was cracking up. He rep 4 the GLBT community seriously im not going to spoil any of the movie MaWah
