I'm planning a quick trip this weekend... can anyone tell me what the weather conditions are like? Mosquitoes? We'll probably head up somewhere between Yosemite and King's Canyon, in the National Forest. Probably hiking between 8500 and 10500.
It's amazingly hard to find real, up to date information, even with the Interweb.
I cannot tell you what the current weather conditions are, but the farther south you go from Yosemite, the less amount of mosquitos you will see. That is from my husband who used to backpack regularly in that area. We just spent a long weekend in Yosemite and it was beautiful. Perfect temp. Although I would expect at 8500+ feet it will be pretty chilly at night.
