from our house to Dry Creek Falls. Very hot today, we should have started earlier, but when we got to the falls it was like air conditioning. On the way back we startled a full grown black bear in the berry bushes. He took off and so did we. This is on the Pacific Crest south trail and we talked to a Canadian couple who were on their way to Mexico.
Sounds like an interesting trip. But I can't see the pic.
It does sound very exciting and beautiful...and startling! Yikes! At least there weren't any lions and tigers with the bears...OH MY!

Ah, yes! Nothing like visiting some falls in the northwest. My favorite is Silver Creek falls. You can't go wrong finding your favorite in the Columbia gorge area, right along the highway.
