Is the Kingdom of God an Actual Government? I don't think so.

What is a kingdom? It's the domain of a ruler, not the government itself. Jesus said he was sent to "preach the good news of the kindgom of God". (Luke 4: 43). Where is this domain (kingdom)? Inside you. In Luke 17:21, Jesus says that "the kingdom of God is within you." Even the Interliner translation says this, although the NWT translates "within you" as "in your midst" so that the WTS can spin it to mean Jesus, being the King of God's Kingdom, is alive in their midst.

If you are looking for "God", you can find Him right there in His temple...you. (You have to build the temple first.)

I'm always interested in hearing the Scriptures interpreted differently than the WTS does. Thanks for posting this.

    Hello JO,

    I agree!

Where Jesus is King, His Kingdom is.

He is King when you profess Him as Lord and His Holy Spirit comes to live within you. Thus the Kingdom is "within you" or "in your midst".

Also, "in your midst" actually has another application for when believers gather in Jesus name that "within you" does not Matthew 18:20

    All the best,

    Stephen

The Kingdom of God is the rulership by God. It is not a domain, it is not the church, it is God in action. It came quietly as a man sowing seed, not as an overpowering force.

I recently made available pages from excellent books on the subject at:
