Getting very close now, only a couple hours away.

Some friends and family already called to make sure both me and my 20 year old son will be on.

We get on and have a blast trying to level up our characters to max level (Heroes or villians, you can be either).

I've been playing this game on and off for over 2 years and it still blows my mind what a great game it is.

I guess it goes back to how most people always dreamed of being a hero from reading comic books, watching cartoons

or watching hero movies (such as recently Ironman and X-Men/Wolverine).

I remember the old days of gaming where you were told that red and blue dot on the screen was supposed to be

superman or Spiderman. And thats about as close to looking like them as it got back then was just the colors.

Now with this game that I will be playing all weekend called "City of Heroes", you pick out your costume and

colors, pick your skin color, set your height with a scalable slide that ranges from very short to tall, select your body

build (thin, average, muscular, overweight etc.), put any decals as well as jewelry that you want, as well as even add

chains or barbed wire on your body for a very tough look indeed.

To me some of the fun of the game is just seeing what designs of heroes/villians people come up with and thats

in their imagination. I've as yet to see two completely identical looking heroes (unless it was done on purpose such as a

husband/wife team or BF/GF team and they wanted to look similar to match)

Anyhow I know some of you are into PC gaming from reading a thread on here a few days back so if you

got any free time this weekend and would like to try it out with a group of us on there (or test it out going solo if you'd

prefer) you can check out their website and glimpse some screenshots/videos and even download a 10 day free trial

of the actual game. Their web address is www.CoH.com

I'd be interested to hear what any of you thought of it if you have a chance to try it out. It appears to attract all

ages. I'm 42 years old/young and one time I was in a team of eight people and I was the youngest. It made my day.

My chat handle on there is @Stone-Wall or send me a e-mail at stonewall88 at hotmail.com if you think you'd like to

get on and team with us.

Anyhow hope all have a great Weekend,

    StoneWall

Oh one other thing, if my memory serves me right I think some on here have played WoW (world of Warcraft)

It may have been John Doe, will have to search the threads later to make sure.

Anyhow have any of you by chance played both WoW and CoH? If so which did you like better and why?

The reason I ask is I've never played Wow online but over the last few months I've heard some on CoH say they left

that game for CoH because of the economy and they could only afford to play one of them and they picked CoH over it.

It seemed like from what they were saying it was because of content and gameplay style but I never was clear on what

they meant by that. One day I'm going to break down and try Wow and make a comparison of the two.

I've got both the original Warcraft and warcraft2 and beat both of them in campaign mode. But i never got around to

Wow since it was a MMO type.

Anyhow I figure its worth asking on here since there appears to be quite a few gamers on here and worth a shot.
