How long does it take for the DAing to be announced?

Several Months ago I wrote a DA letter. I posted it on here, got several good comments on it, and even had one member post it on his blog. Needless to say, I wound up not sending it. After writing it, and pondering the content and its emotional slant, I decided to give it a while before I took the step of sending in the definitive version of the "letter".

Well, long story short, last week I wrote and mailed the following.

To: The Body of Elders of the Mineral Wells congregation

This is to inform you that I no longer wish to be associated with your group. I do not now claim to be a member of your “religion”, nor have I for quite some time. The myriad reasons why, are mine and mine alone, and none of your business.

Don’t come to my house or work. I do not wish to speak with any of you.

Don’t contact my wife. She’s doesn’t attend your congregation, so leave her alone.

You may contact me by phone at 940-445-**** to confirm this letter.

    Thank You

    Mike *******

I sent the letter, to the KH address, on Tuesday morning about 10am. At the least it should have arrived at the KH on Thursday.

What have others that have DA'd experienced as far as the amount of time from receipt of the letter to announcement?

What would likely happen is that 2 elders will call you, or possibly stop by, to verify that you actually wrote the letter (and are not the victim of a prank).

Once that is done, they should announce it at the next service meeting.

I think that's the best DA letter I've ever read.

    Thanks undercover.

I've wrote so many lines of bile spewing rhetoric over the last few months, that I finally said to hell with it and made it blunt and to the point.

That doesn't mean that I don't have bile to spew though. I'm saving that in case they disobey my words in the letter and show up on my doorstep. If any of the local jerks are on here reading this, remember you've been warned.

    I'm in charge now.

When you write one of those things, the hounders have several options (and which one they pick depends on what supposed benefit your continued inclusion in the congregation will give them). They can uphold it (and they usually will if you are a "sister" or have a family that is in, and donated no more than normal to the Worldwide Pedophile Defense Fund), ignore it (if they are too lazy or they feel you are a potential value to the congregation), or try to force-reindoctrinate you. This would only happen if they felt you could bring on the ultimate goal for the washtowel--getting the whole world into the Second Dark Ages (because force-reindoctrinating someone is extremely difficult and costly with time, money, and personal energy on the part of those trying).

If they choose to uphold it, chances are good that they are going to bumble a couple of weeks. They might hound you to go back and try to get you to change your mind, or they might not. They have to discuss it among the local hounders, calling for a hounders meeting. Then they need to send a S-77 form to headquarters, and wait for the next Circus Meeting to make the announcement. It then takes effect upon the announcement.
