    ....All of You A:

    Merry Christmas
    Happy Boxing Day
    Happy Kwanza
Have a Happy Day to all of You!

I would like to know how many of you will spend your holidays. I will have a nice dinner, since that's about all I can do with my JW parent in the same house. We will celebrate "Present Day" in February.

Can you give me any ideas to help celebrate Christmas? I
would like to do something extra special this year.

    Hi, more2c

Last night we had my wife's family over to our house, tomorrow, we go to my brother's house. I love it, we celebrate like three different times!

    Have a good one!

How I envy you TR. It must be nice to have family that you can go to. My siblings and my mom no longer attend meetings, but out of respect to my dad we don't make a big deal of Christmas. We don't have relatives that live near us so it has been kind of hard. I sent out cards, and bought a Christmas songbook. (I have always wanted to know the words to X-mas songs, because we couldn't sing them as JW's) I can't wait to go to my work X-mas party.

    Have Fun!

Find a place where people are partying...maybe friends from work, etc...or you could go on Christmas day to homeless or women's shelter and help w/Christams dinner. Give to charity if you have no other outlet, but most of all, be good to yourself and never feel guilt over celebrating that can do you no harm.

    Thanks Valis,

Great advice! I never feel guilty, especially when it comes to celebrating. I have been singing Christmas commercial jingles around here for the past month. I never realized how restricting this time of year is for JW's who don't celebrate the holidays. They sure don't know what they are missing.

Today, my mom and brother went up the seacoast to browse and do some shopping. On the way back, we passed a church and the parking lot was over filled for mass. I guess with all the events and tragedies, people are going back to church. Although, I am happy as a spiritual non-church goer, I thought it was kind of a nice thing to see.
