Thanks!
Nice objective view.....thanks!
Good article. It sums up the JWs nicely. The same shiite is going on now that was going on back then. Sounds like they haven't learned anything. I like Mrs. Colgate's statement:
"If I went back (to the Witnesses) I'd be under their control again, and I don't want that", she said. "The Lord doesn't put anything oppressive on anyone. He loves us all."
I couldn't have said it better myself.
Wow, great article. I love to read these old articles because it shows that things were not well with the WT after 1975. If anything, this would be great to show to a JW who has never really thought about 1975 or knows nothing about it.
"You know why Armageddon didn't come in 1975? It was because YOU expected it." - Fred Franz at a District Assembly
That pretty much sums it up. Jehovah changed his mind because dubs had the audacity to actually believe Fred's prediction would come true.

Thanks for these links....
Occasionally, the Vietnamese congregation of the JW comes by my house to try to talk to the lady or kids - (she escaped Vietnam in 1975, ironically).
These "new Witnesses" are completely unaware that the 1975 horror ever even occurred. They are preaching the company line that the end is just around the corner. This is how well the witnesses have covered their tracks by forgetting they ever said it, along with the generation of 1914 and the annointed being sealed by 1935.
And it makes me sad to realize that these people came to America for freedom and opportunity - only to get caught into this.
They are setting up the traps for a new crop of sheep to be fleeced.
