We all know that Hiroshima and Nagasaki were destroyed in August 1945 after explosion of atomic bomds. However we know little about the progress made by the people of that land during the past 64 years.See the colorful City of Hiroshima today.

The reason I mention this:When the economy turned south the past year, the leaders of the WBTS were happier than flies on cow dung.It gave them a reason to spout off and tell people how foolish it was to put trust in this system and not God's(1914) kingdom which is just around the corner.

Well the people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki did not put their trust in the WBTS so called Kingdom around the corner cow dung. It's 64 years later since the A bomb and that kingdom is still not here. What king of city would they have if they listened to the GB.They would still be living in the rubble.

JWs have benifited a great deal off of those that didn't listen to the Watchtower. If everyone had listened to the Watchtower back in 1945 there would be no one around that could do a job that required higher education. There would be no doctors, scientist, architects etc in the work force today. The whole world would be begining to look like some dropped a bomb on it. So much for the spirtual paradise.

    Bobid,

We all know that Hiroshima and Nagasaki were destroyed in August 1945 after explosion of atomic bomds.

However we know little about the progress made by the people of that land during the past 64 years.

We actually know a lot about the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the progress of the people of Japan ... among the many things that we learned, is that while nuclear warfare is horrible, and we really do not want to go there again, if one does happen, it is not the end of the world. We also know that these cities recovered, and they are thriving cities today, as is the entire Japanese economy. It was the United States that pulled them out of the rubble, financed and protected Japan so it could use all of its resources on rebuilding and not have to spend on a military. General Douglas MacArthur gave them their constitution that they use to this day. Combined with help from the US and Japanese work ethic, they have become an economic powerhouse and a close friend and ally.

As for the Watchtower prophecies and claims, there is honestly no relevance to the Japanese who are largely Shinto and Buddhist and then Christian. JWs are little more than a minor blip in the Japanese culture. What you say about listening, or not, to the Watchtower is true of any society ... if they sit around they will not make progress.

Even the Watchtower does not listen to its own advice, as it builds and plans for years ahead with building locations, printing presses, magazine production, etc. They themselves act as if there is no worry with tomorrow ... why? ... because deep down they really do not believe in their own swill.
