What scriptures do JW's use to back up the teaching that they will grow to perfection in the new world?

"Growing To Perfection" -- sounds positively boring to me.

There are different ways to arrive at WTS's idea of perfection. It is intertwined with their doctrine as it is the big carrot they hold out.
The idea of "growing" to perfection is basically from their doctrine that a great crowd will come out of the tribulation and never die at all. Since they were not perfect, they must grow to perfection.
WTS focuses more on proving that the original purpose of God was paradise and living forever (Gen. 1:28; 2:8) then saying that it will not go unfulfilled (Isa. 45:18; 55:10-11).They use words of Jesus to show that such is still the case: (Matt. 5:5; 6:9-10)
John 11:25-26: "Jesus said to her (the sister of a man he was going to restore to life in a moment): 'I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life; and everyone that is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all. Do you believe this?'"
So besides resurrection, the claim is that people will never die, they will live forever.

Thanks OTWO. I haven't thought of that one.
John Gill's Exposition of the Bible
John 11:26
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me.... Whoever will be found alive at Christ's second coming, and is a believer in him, shall never die,
but shall be changed, and shall be for ever with Christ; and such as shall be raised to life by him, shall never die any more, not even a bodily death, and much less an eternal one, or the second death: and though believers die a corporeal death as others do, yet their souls live, and live in happiness, whilst their bodies are under the power of death;nor shall they always continue so, but being raised, shall become immortal, and die no more. So living believers in Christ shall never die more a spiritual death; they are passed from death to life, and shall never return to death more; their spiritual life cannot be lost; grace in them is an immortal seed, a well of living water springing up into everlasting life:
1 John 3:14 - We know that we have passed from death unto life,
1Co 15:51 - Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,Even from JW theology they would have to admit that this event (change to perfection) is talking about those inside the New Covenant. Furthermore it is instantaneous... first the spiritual and then the body.
Apparently, they do not have even one scripture to support a Great Crowd growing to perfection. Yet, this is all I ever heard about growing up. As usual they take a promise directed to members of the New Covenant and apply it to those OUTSIDE (the Great Crowd) the New Covenant, "another gospel".
I will use this the next time I talk to a Witness.

No, no, no. First of all, they "admit" nothing that is out of line with their doctrine.
Second of all, they say that whosoever has faith in him won't have to die at all. It is not applied to the ones inside the New Covenant, but to anyone with faith.Apparently, they do not have even one scripture to support a Great Crowd growing to perfection.
Do they really have one scripture to support most of their doctrines? No, they have a series of piled up scriptures with a slight point made in each one and the ability to combine scriptures that are not related (Arrive at 1914 from 607 BCE).

:Growing to Perfection
One would think that after 2,000 years of virtually NO miracles, "Jehovah" would do something spectacular for all of those dubbies who went through so much to get to the other side of Armageddon. But NO!
Jehovah is going to "slow roll" them all the way to perfection! And THEN he's going to resurrect billions of dead people with sex organs just like the Ken and Barbie dolls!
Jehovah is such a prankster!
