When I was a little girl and forgot what I was going to say to my mom or dad, I'd say instead, "I love you."
If I forget a question I was going to ask, I simply say, "Never mind. It's okay. I forgot."

I never forget the question, just the answers. I can't remember whether it was a question or a comment I was going to say.
