Do you think your assembly was not comfortable enough? Travel to Russia next time!

Since authorities give hard time to russian JWs, some assemblies were not held at stadiums this year.

Just wait until there is a sudden rain squall, to ruin the electronic equipment. Then the witlesses would have to waste more money fixing it.

Now, if only Nigeria would get smart and force those cockroaches underground and impede their field circus. They would still go out. But, at least the government could launch a two-part attack. They could slow down the witlesses, while they could educate the public about the scam the religion is putting up. They could round up all the Bible studies and teach them that the religion is nothing more than a scam--even proving it from the Bible itself, compared with a few washtowels that contradict the Bible. And, they could close the Kingdumb Hells.

Yes, they would view this as "persecution" and remain faithful. However, new studies would see that it is a scam, and very few would join. That would, in turn, create discouragement and hopefully people dropping out of the cancer.

As I see the loudspeakers are covered, so a rain most probably won't ruin anything. Our DCs were always held in an open stadium, sometimes during thunderstorm, with no equipment malfunction. The storm was not a problem for me, I was much more bothered by the 105°F (40°C) in shade, and we were sitting under blazing sun! I wonder how I actually survived it. This russian assembly looks like a picknick compared to that to me.

teel, I remember those assemblies/conventions too. I think many who post on JWN post-date those days. I can remember a couple of days at the convention in Pasadena in 1963 at the Rose Bowl. The rain streamed down the bleachers. I can remember wind blowing off Lake Michigan one year with a windchill in the 40's. As to contribution boxes, they were probably farther back behind the photographer.
