    what is the spirit? what is inspiration? what is spirituality? I'm sure many Athiests consider themselves spiritual people.

    This seems to be a topic about an intangible quality.

    On being a spiritual person, the Watchtower offers good advise at first - Read the Bible. But then it continues with works, meetings, service, etc. To a JW, spirituality is doing JW stuff. (w93 9/1 p11 as an example)

    Scientists, Artists and Musicians feel inspiration and a feeling of exhileration and a grasp for something greater. Nature makes us feel that way. These things make me want to search for higher meaning. It instills morality and conscience. For now, we live in physical bodies, 'God set limits of the dwelling of men'. Can mankind learn to be spiritual despite physical limits? If they can, the spiritual rewards will be astounding. This is a group project covering ages, as well as a personal search.

    Acts 17:26:

    According to the reasoning book: SPIRIT

    Definition:

    I believe that all people have spirituality that they can listen to. Rom 1:20

    For his invisible [qualities] are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable; 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God nor did they thank him, but they became empty-headed in their reasonings and their unintelligent heart became darkened

    Rom 2:14

    14

    Spirituality is not just for the religious. Everyone has a spiritual voice in their head. It is for all men and women to develop spirituality so that they can be lead to greater truth. More and more, science seems to clarify man's development, and I believe that science and spirituality will continue to help us learn how God really works with mankind.

    I would appreciate other views on spirituality. Thanks for your kind patient responses

    To quote Stephen Covey - ("First Things First - Spiritual Needs" - p58):

    "... the wisdom literature of thousands of years of history repeatedly validates the reality that the greatest fulfillment in improving ourselves comes in our empowerment to more effectively reach out and help others. Quality of life is inside-out. Meaning is in contribution, in living for something higher than self. And the results of the illusions and the reality are as different as the Dead Sea -- stagnant end in itself where there's no outlet and no life -- and the Sea of Galilee, where the waters flow on and nurture abundant life along the way."

    Spirituality = Deludedness.

    30 years of trying to be spiritual have taught me that.
