Of course, another controlled test would be to blindfold the individuals who are placing the finger
on the glass and have an observer watch and record where its moving to, it will randomly move all over the
board with incoherent messages.
Maybe thats why it was marketed as a toy with spooky appeal.

Elsewhere
Penn and Teller actually did the "blindfold" experiment with an extra twist... they rotated the board 180 degrees without the people knowing.
The result was that the "spirits" kept answering the questions upside down and backwards.

Bumping for fun. I think Ouija Boards are a bunch of BS. I say " think " because I have never used one. There was a test not long ago posted on this site, something abount the mind and our perceptions. One of the test showed that the subconscious mind is so fast that it is almost uncanny!!! LOL!! I think Deja vu is what happens when a subconscious possibility meets with an actual occurence, and you remember the subconscious thought. I bet a Ouija Board works in a similar manner. YOU are making the answers appear via subconscious thought. It is one step above the magic 8 ball. Any opinions?
