It amazed me how many comments came from people who don't even blush at saying it is "normal" to have more love for one of your children than another. They don't even try to be decent!
They will jump through the most transparently manufactured hoops to defend the bad behavior of ancient semitic tribesmen (and thus their god).
Scriptures are good for teaching and instruction. I already assumed that the WT teaching would be sick, and sure enough it is.
You could read the story and learn - if you love a son more than others, then the others might tend to be a bit short on love - so it's probably a very good idea not to be doing that.
And the WT lesson is - if you don't like some people as much as others, even in your own family (who you know you have a special response-ability to care for), don't worry about it, go with your fleshy desires. All you have to do is make Jacob to be God, and then you can do anything that he ever did - you will be a truly holy asshole (things will flow from you).
A story eh? Just like the innocent children Adam & Eve. Isaac & Abraham. The story of thousands of non-Jewish children slaughtered for their parents race.
Blame the Bible first and foremost. The JW's are a natural spawn of that book.
