did anyone ever experiance when a family member happened not to be there at the meeting? I would be always told " give them my love" by everyone i spoke to. But what does that love mean? Does it mean they call up the missing person to see how they are? NO! Do they send a card/ flowers/ email? No!

So what does it mean? Absourlute zip, zero! There is/was no love, its just somthing to be careless tossed out at the end of a convo to make thensleves feel better.

    Yup. Spot on.

I have been a member of a sports club for nearly 30 years, and I see more true loving concern for fellow members there than I ever saw in the WT.

I feel guilty though looking back, I was not very good at what I should have been doing, "Looking after widows and orphans"

It's just words. Many people use important words without giving any thought to them.

    My wife wasnt a Witness.

I oftern got the "Give her my love...." I always recognised it translated to mean...

    A. We pity the new brother in a divided household.

B.His wife may convert if we keep sending our "Give her my love......"

However iam sure most of these comments were made with sincere and kind hearts.

Ah yes, heard it a million times. The favoured lip service words that mean crap all...lol. All it really means is that the person saying it is filling a void in conversation, or instead of saying goodbye, utters these words. Blah!
