if you are Deal or No Deal Contestant, I have seen one guy turned down little more than $200,000 and he ended up getting $10. I just watched the show today the police officer turned down $141,000, his wife told him to take the [edited] $141k deal and he ended up with $1,700. If you are ever on that show, do not be greedy and you need to have a good safety net! If not, it is better to say "Deal"!

I do not agree. Anything you get is money you didn't have, and if you took a deal when there is a good chance you would know the answer, you would be forever kicking yourself. No guts no glory.

That is part of the game. If you don't take the chance sometimes, you may miss a chance at the jackpot. But remember, you haven't actually won the money until you actually complete the game or quit and take the money.

What JD said. You're playing with house money. Unless you are desperate for money, why not go for broke.

I agree with A silent one. I think I would set a limit for when things started getting hot so to speak...especially if it hit over $100,000. Better be safe than sorry..bird in the hand and all that stuff....

I get so irritated at those people that turn down a hefty amount of change to go the big money, only to walk off the show with barely enough for a cab ride to the airport! I think to myself, if I was offered 50k I would take it! It's 50k more than I started out with!
But then again, if everyone just took the first deal they got, it probably wouldn't be much of a show
