I have been reading the various analysis of the Oct 15 koolaid WT articles. These are indicating that ineffect we are friends of Jesus by proxy, the FDS are the real friends of Jesus and becasue we are their friends, we know jesus.

It like a Facebook account. I have friends on Facebook who are friends with other people I don't personally, except by the comments they leave on the wall of my friends. So even though I don't know these people I know a fair bit about them and they are part of my Facebook friends network, they are Facebook acquaintances.

So according to the GB Jesus is the equivalent of theses face book acquaintances -whoopideedoo!!!!!

That's about the way they say it is. I remember when I read that the "other sheep" didn't inherit the earth, but the annointed did. What? They are going to heaven, but they need to have the earth be theirs too?

I think they have delusions of grandeur.

Slightly off topic, but I passed a church the other day with a sign out front that read, "Get off Facebook and into The Book."

The mild-tempered ones are happy because “they will inherit the earth.” Jesus, who was “mild-tempered and lowly in heart,” is the “appointed heir of all things” and is therefore the principal Inheritor of the earth. (Matt. 11:29; Heb. 1:2; Ps. 2:8) It was foretold that the Messianic “son of man” would have associate rulers in the heavenly Kingdom. (Dan. 7:13, 14, 21, 22, 27) As “joint heirs with Christ,” 144,000 mild-tempered anointed ones were to share in Jesus’ inheritance of the earth. (Rom. 8:16, 17; Rev. 14:1) Other mild-tempered ones will be blessed with everlasting life in the earthly realm of the Kingdom.—Ps. 37:11.

Wow...good find on the earth inheritance thing.

So, basically, if you're not in the 144K club, you pretty much don't get shit. You're just "allowed" to hang out on earth as long as you're of use to them and Jesus.

How many dubs realise that? I was an Elder and I didn't.

Does this open the way for the GB to say they own everything and gain control of our possessions as well as our lives?

I'm glad you found it. I remembered it because it disturbed me as a dub. I don't think I can find much anymore because I threw away most of my dub stuff. Most dubs don't realize it just as a lot of them don't realize that Jesus is not considered to be their mediator.

They have such a way of deflating the rank and file until there is not much self esteem left. I think they are on dangerous ground here as they are taking away things that the Bible says were for all mankind.

Doesn't the Bible say that Jesus is the mediator between God and mankind and that the meek will inherit the earth?
