If you had to choose between your mother or your husband/wife...who would live and who would die?
The reason why I ask because an elder once told me that he would choose his wife because thats what it says in the Bible and he never showed me where it states this in the scriptures.
Someone, please explain to me if that's true or false. If its true - Please provide a scripture that states this.

The scriptures talk about sticking to your wife and becoming one AND honoring your father AND your mother so it'll go well with you (you'll have good luck with healthy relationships with all of them).
Basically, you need your whole family in some way sometime in your life. I'd say that it's not right to have to choose one over the other.
Don't even have to think about it...hubby live/mother die.
