There are so many different portable furnances on the internet. I am trying to figure out which one would be good for me. Thank you!
Do you have portable furnance at your home?

Do you mean a space heater?
I just got a Lasko radiant heater from one of those big home improvement stores for $39 a few weeks ago. Works great heating one big room.

I'm a big fan of Electric Radiators .
They do not have an open flame or exposed heating elements and cannot cause a fire.
They produce "gentle" heat that spreads around a room instead of "sharp" heat from heating elements.

Ooh, what about one of those "Amish" fireplaces that used to be advertised in newspapers? I wonder if they work...

I try to stay away from Amish items. I don't want to support a religion that is worst that the WTS.

My grandma bought one of the Amish ones and loves it. She has two large dogs roaming around her house, so I guess it's not a tip or fire hazzard.

Yeah, the Amish heater is sort of a joke. It's a Chinese-manufactured space heater with an Amish-made wood surround, at a price of about $300. Spectacular! Order 3 for me!
Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
