I've been out for a while now and, while I still find that those Kingdom Hall tunes rear their little heads from time to time in my mind, I have found that I am beginning to forget some of the words to many of them. How long did it take you to start breaking free from the bonds that those songs can have on the memory?

Remember when you were in, and you always wanted to purge those Christmas songs? And when one of those would get in your head in the late summer? Chances are good that you will never forget the Kingdumb Maladies any more than you successfully forgot those "sun worship" songs.
More important, how often do you listen to them? How often do you hum or sing them? How often are you moved to do what the song tells you to? Do you really enjoy, or think you enjoy, them? If not, then it really isn't all that horrible that you still remember them. If we were not successful at totally purging Christmas songs while we were witlesses, we probably will not succeed at totally purging Kingdumb Maladies.
And, we will be getting another chance. They are soon to switch totally to the new song book, with 42 new songs and a total of only 135 songs (many of which have new lyrics). If you refuse to listen to or learn those, you will be able to not have any current Kingdumb s*** going.
