I bought Atlantic Crossing when it was new - on vinyl (1970s ?) - just for the sweetly melancholic I Am Sailing.

Mr. Stewart's voice, since those earlier days, has sadly deteriorated [IMHO] in what you are about to hear.

BUT THE GUITARIST! [at 2:36 and again at 4:09]

    Holy Cadenzas!

    Thanks!

Rod Stewart was the first concert I went to in the 70's, 75 I think. St Louis, MO at Keihl Auditorium.

He was on Rachael Ray yesterday, says he has a trainer, talked of being a father and mentioned his own father many times.

I never heard this song before and I think it's the best I have ever seen him, and WOW what an audience.

    oh yeah, loved the guitar!!!

I love Rod Stewart. I hated it when my Blonds Have More Fun Album, got broken in little pieces and thrown away. I bought it with my own money. But evidently the song, Do You Think I'm Sexy, was a demon song, or somethin. this would be 1979

I love Rod's early albums - I thought they were amazing......everything through Atlantic Crossing was really good.

Some of his albums of the 80's though - OUCH....total filler garbage.

THE rock singer Rod Stewart has revealed that he feared he would never perform again after undergoing emergency surgery for throat cancer.

Stewart, 56, lost his distinctive rasping singing voice for nine months after surgeons cut through his throat muscles to remove a cancerous growth from his thyroid gland.
