The Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society, the governing body of Jehovah’s witnesses, has pointed out through its publications that the kingdom of heaven was established in 1914, and it has shown in its writings how the signs of the present day are fulfilling prophecy in proof of the establishment of that kingdom. The first World War was one of the first signs foretold by Jesus in the 24th chapter of Matthew as marking the end of the Gentile times and the beginning of Christ’s reign in heaven. The Watchtower magazine has proved this many times in its columns.

It does not say 'and' the governing body. Do they still link them or have they seperated the WBTS from the G/B?

The WT Corporations have been separated from the Governing Body since just after the turn of the 21st Century. There are 4 main WT Corporations AND the GB are no part of the Corporate entities.

This serves the WTS well. It distances the GB who make all the rules that kill people and destroy their lives from the Corporations, which get and use all the money.

In other words, they left the GB high and dry with their dicks in their hands, or at the very least, insulated the Corporations from the inevitable lawsuits that will result in the future.

It is written in the bylaws of all these corporations that ultimate control reverts ultimately to "the eccelsiastical governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses".

The officers today as noted are not GB members. Once the legal dept showed the GB that they could ultimately control as non voting officers (which is a provision legally in the United States for all religions as long as they use the code word "ecclesiastical") the GB went for it. It serves many purposes as Farkel mentioned.

So don't be confused at all. If the GB wanted to make some changes to any of these corps, they could do it without many problems.
