Just read an article in the Oct. 2008 Awake! and it appears seeds are being planted to announce Jah's feminine side sometime in the future. I suppose this will align with the Land Conservation--Mother Gaia Eco-Religion that is falling into place behind the scenes.
On pg. 24 the subtitle : Is God Male or Female?
(God, these people are so absurdly hung up on sexual natures!)
"...Bible writers were divinely inspired to use human characteristics to refer to the Almighty. This does not mean we should take these terms literally any more than we would Biblical reference to God as "the Rock," "a sun", or "a shield"."
It is an evil psychological ploy when words convey one meaning and illustrations are in direct conflict.
WT does this consistently.
There is something primordial about images; they seem to override words and become implanted in the brain as the message.
What does this say about a publishing corporation using these tactics to deliberately to confuse and mislead people?
Have we not all seen the WT renderings of a manly Zeus God depicted sitting on a throne?
Have we not seen WT renderings of a macho Jehovah with a sledge hammer just waiting to knock us all to Kingdom Come for our sorry sinful misdeeds?
If God is a spirit, having no human likeness in form, and no sexuality, then why has Watchtower always depicted this Jehovah with raging hormones...enough testosterone to grow a full beard and manly muscles and power to swing a medieval morningstar weapon?
Clearly, WT has been misleading people as to the true nature of god if they have always acknowledged him as a spirit. A spirit would not even be considered as a creature. Would it?
If God has no human form, and no sexual identity, then who is this God who sat under a tree and ate lunch with Abraham? (Gen. 18:1)
Will WT tell us stories of how God assumes shape and gender to suit his/her purpose? Perhaps he could even be Reptilian?
How many more surprises and cards up the sleeve does WT hold?
The article goes on to say..."Just as assigning human features to God is not to be understood literally" (nevermind the scriptures say man was created in his image).."use of the masculine gender to describe God should not be taken literally."
Could this be planting the seed of revealing the feminine side of Jehovah at some later date? A Mother Earth type god for the New Dawn? It certainly appears to me that the door is being left open to the flux of gender changes and an androgenous god.
The magazine goes on to take more scripture out of context.
"...joint heirs with Christ in his heavenly kingdom do not expect to retain their human gender when they are glorified as sons (ahem!) of god.
The apostle Paul reminded them that "there is neither male nor female" within their ranks when they become glorified..."
Please correct me if I am wrong. I remember seeing scripture that reads there will be no giving in marriage in the heavens, but I do not recall the scripture saying that people will have no gender form.
If WT is making a lame attempt to quote from this scripture:
"There are neither Jews nor Greeks, slaves nor free people, males nor females. You are all the same in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28)
This simply means there will be no class, race, or gender distinction to cause divisions among people. This verse speaks of uniform equality, not formless invisible spirits.
