Well, uh, yes, I guess so.....even though most of your post made no sense to me.

I've started working out with free weights for the last couple of months. Nothing really major, but I've been enjoying it, and I have started to see results.

    Hi RHW,

I posted my workout...a copy of my printout I work off of...

    Thought you were -MENSA- ???

Those numbers are reps per set ie. 1st set 10 reps 2nd 5 etc. etc.

Free weights are where it's at.
I have around 22 years under my belt now.
Keep it up...I'm going on 44 now and look at that mug of mine(smile)
As you can see it keeps you young, almost as well as "mounting block"
    vaulting.

I figured the numbers were reps per set, but I don't understand what a lot of the exercises are. I got a book that has a workout for women, and a lot of the descriptions are totally unknown to me.

Skull crusher? (Is this when you do something with a dumbbell over your head and it drops?)

Deadlift? (Getting your husband out of his easy chair in the evening?)

Clean and Press? (Generally not....I like permanent press myself)

Seriously, though, I'm doing a workout for about 30 or 40 minutes a night, following the outline in the book. In your opinion, should I stick with this workout as is, or is it best to add additional things as I go along?

I'm really pleased with the way things are going. I feel a lot stronger, and I notice that everyday chores are easier. Carrying horse feed or hoisting saddles is not half as difficult as it used to be.

    Hi M2U,
Sounds like your into the heavy workouts.
Do you use machines along with the weights?
I like to do the weights and machines one day then arobic activities the next.
