if she wrote a letter to a local elder ,who still chats to her if he sees her without mentioning "truth" or court case stuff and asked to be made a "do not call " as she would not want her abusers wife (who stood by her husband !) knocking on her door talking of "the truth" or the perps brothers and sisters who also stood by him (despite knowing he had abused girls before ,weirdos !) do you think callers would be stopped ? i think the local elders are embaressed about the situation as had the perp been reported to police when a min servant , my daughter would never have met him at the hall (he was later disfellowshipped for an affair ) she has moved into a new address with her boyfriend and her very first visitors were jehovahs witnesses and it really upset her as the jw "talk " reminds her of her abuser who constantly talked of "the truth" and how wicked the world was in his grooming process (despite being disfellowshipped by then ) she also does not want my mother in law and her son and daughter round acting false when they do not bother with my 6 year old child (their grandchild and neice ) however she would not want her abusers wife to know her address , any thoughts ? my daughter was never baptised and neither was i .

A letter would be one option, but then they usually go by the policy to call once a year on the "do not call" folks to see if they still feel that way!

(I never did it since I respected the people enough that if they were clear enough to be a "do not call" they also knew where to contact the JW's if they all of a sudden wanted a visit)

Anyway, a letter might not do it.....

One more effective way here in the USA is a clear NO TRESSPASSING sign. If you have that posted, a JW can be prosecuted for calling on you. I am not sure if where you live if the laws are the same, but that works very well. If a letter is written, I would indicate that you (your daughter) have a no tresspassing sign posted at your residence and that visits are NOT welcome.

    hope this helps!

Personally, if I was in this situation, I would have a lawyer contact them. Hopefully a restraining order is not required after the initial legal contact.

My best strategy to keep them away:

I tell every one of them that comes to my door that I was sexually abused by a JW and how they dealt with it. That got them to send an elder to my door. I told him the same thing. Presto. I was off the list.

The LAST thing they want is anyone exposing abuse in the JWs.. I think they will bend over backwarfds to hide the secret. So if they think you will expose them to any JW who shows up at your door you will be off the list.

The easiest thing to do is to post a sign on her door.

I have one that says "No Soliciting, No Peddling, No Preaching". The neat thing about the "No Preaching" part is that before putting up the sign JWs normally would drop by while they were going Door-to-Doorâ„¢ and lie about the nature of their visit: "Oh we were in the neighbourhood and thought we'd stop by and see how you were..." as if it were a social visit. The "No Preaching" part exposes their real purpose and they go away. It works like a charm.

...or how about a sign that just simply says, "NO JEHOVAHS WITNESSES - YES, THIS MEANS YOU!"

I had signs on my door..

JW`s always knocked on my door..

    JW`s don`t care,that you don`t want them there..

    You have a Door..

JW`s need to Knock on it..

Zealous jw will always knock on your door despite what sign you have, except as stated that in the USA a clearly visable NO TRESSPASSING sign will work. The congregations received a letter, which was read to the cong about 6 months ago, stating that a jw cannot turn to the WTS for any legal support if they ignore NO TRESSPASSING signs.
